Hello! I’m Kirstie, a proud mama to two daughters, and Elmsdale is where I call home. I’ve always been curious about people—what drives their choices and decisions. This curiosity led me to study Sociology in university, where I explored and researched the reasons behind human behaviour.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by pregnancy, motherhood, and babies. My journey to becoming a doula began with the support I received from my own doula, who empowered me to trust my body, its strength, and the natural wisdom of pregnancy and birth. After the birth of my second daughter, I experienced a deep shift in myself and realized I wanted to contribute to something bigger than myself. Over time, I discovered that my true passion is in creating safe, supportive space—physically, emotionally, and mentally—where birthing people can advocate for themselves and have the birth experience that feels right for them, whatever that might look like. Whether you’re planning an induction, a medicated birth, a cesarean, or an unmediated experience, I believe every birth is unique and should be honored with respect and care.
As a cisgender, straight white woman, I recognize my privilege and am committed to being a strong ally to marginalized communities. No matter who you are or how you identify, I would be truly honored to support you through your pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum journey.
If you have any questions or would like to book a consult, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to connect with you!

Bonjour! Hello!
After a fulfilling and transformative 2024, I embraced my dream and became a full-time doula in January 2025. The path to this calling has been shaped by a lifetime of supporting family and friends in their parenting journeys, a deep passion for learning and sharing knowledge about birth and postpartum, a successful corporate career in management, and my personal experience as a parent. 2024 was a year of incredible growth and realization—it became clear that I could no longer sit on the sidelines when it came to pursuing my true calling. I absolutely love being a doula!
If you’re someone who often feels anxious, finds themselves diving down endless internet rabbit holes, or simply craves clear, unbiased information, I might be just the support you’re looking for. Think of me as your personal search engine: filtering out the fear-inducing articles and unreliable sources to provide you with up-to-date, evidence-based information. My aim is to empower you to make choices that align with your unique needs, body, and beliefs.
Or perhaps you hesitate to speak up or feel like a “bother” to your medical team but still want to have a voice in your labor and birth experience? I’m here for you, ready to hold space, provide on-demand knowledge, and guide you through your options. My role is to support and empower—you always remain in control of your journey.
As a parent myself, I don’t just understand the emotional, physical, and logistical challenges you may face—I truly relate. My approach is nonjudgmental and tailored to your individual needs, ensuring you have the support and confidence to make informed decisions throughout labor, birth, and the postpartum journey. Whatever your choices may be, I stand with you, wholeheartedly.
Why do I specialize in Twins & Multiples? I have twins of my own! My partner and I experienced the unique joys and challenges of raising multiples while managing the demands of a military lifestyle, often without a local support network. This journey taught me the profound value of having a “village,” and it inspired my mission to ensure that no parent of multiples feels unsupported.
This commitment led me to actively serve as the president of our local chapter of the Parents of Multiple Births Association (POMBA), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting families of multiples. Surviving those early days with twins—often just the two of us—strengthened my passion for helping others navigate this unique path with confidence and care.

Your birth and postpartum period is so important. How you navigate through it can have such a great impact on you, and your family. You deserve to be; listened to, centered in decision making, and supported both emotionally and physically in a way that makes sense to YOU. While birth can be unpredictable, the presence of this care should be consistent. I’d love to help you with that! A little about me: I’ve been a doula since 1999. While the families I serve remain my greatest source of learning, I’m always exploring new ways to serve my clients. In addition to being a Certified Birth and Postpartum doula, I teach high-quality Evidence Based Birth® childbirth classes, I am a Certified Lactation Educator (CAPPA), Certified Infant Massage Instructor (IAIM) and a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Instructor (LCCE). I also train Birth Doulas and train Infant Massage Instructors as well! Explore my website for more information on my offerings. I’m looking forward to exploring how we might work together!
