Hi, I'm Ashley! I am a mother of 3 wonderful boys and I live on a small hobby farm in Colchester. My passion for all things birth came after the birth of my third son. It was innate, powerful, primal... It was beautiful! It was also a stark difference between my first two births which were marked by fear, pain and uncertainty. This lit a fire in me. Every woman has the right to a nurturing and empowering birth. The way you birth matters! My approach can best be described as ancestral feminine wisdom meets modern medicine. I'll help you connect to your innate power; your feminine wisdom while providing modern evidence based information. Prenatally, we will explore birthing preferences, comfort measures/pain management, laboring and birthing positions and more. During labor and delivery, I will give continuous physical, emotional and informational support to you and your birth partner. I will also help your birth partner to feel confident in giving you the support you need. Postnatally, I offer two home visits offering support in newborn care, breastfeeding and postpartum adjustment. If this is something you are interested in, please reach out. I would be honored to support you!

Kelsey Marr (PhD)- Collective Care Birth Services
Have you ever felt overwhelmed, uncertain, or scared about pregnancy and birth? I help pregnant people and couples feel informed, confident, and supported throughout their birth journey. I’ve been a birth researcher for 15 years, and my approach is based on clear communication and sharing birth research to build your confidence in your own decisions. You deserve more than just being told what to do– You deserve to understand your options and feel empowered in your decisions.
Whether I’m offering hands-on support during labour, helping your partner feel more prepared, or guiding you through postpartum recovery, my goal is to make sure you feel seen, heard, and truly cared for. I’m especially passionate about helping clients navigate the overwhelming amount of information (and misinformation!) out there—so you can trust yourself and your choices.
I am not supporting births in person right now, because I’m pregnant! But I would be happy to be your guide and coach through pregnancy and postpartum. If you're looking for a calm, knowledgeable presence in your corner, I’d love to connect.

Kirstie Smith- Beloved Light Doula
Hello! I’m Kirstie, a proud mama to two daughters, and Elmsdale is where I call home. I’ve always been curious about people—what drives their choices and decisions. This curiosity led me to study Sociology in university, where I explored and researched the reasons behind human behaviour.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by pregnancy, motherhood, and babies. My journey to becoming a doula began with the support I received from my own doula, who empowered me to trust my body, its strength, and the natural wisdom of pregnancy and birth. After the birth of my second daughter, I experienced a deep shift in myself and realized I wanted to contribute to something bigger than myself. Over time, I discovered that my true passion is in creating safe, supportive space—physically, emotionally, and mentally—where birthing people can advocate for themselves and have the birth experience that feels right for them, whatever that might look like. Whether you’re planning an induction, a medicated birth, a cesarean, or an unmediated experience, I believe every birth is unique and should be honored with respect and care.
As a cisgender, straight white woman, I recognize my privilege and am committed to being a strong ally to marginalized communities. No matter who you are or how you identify, I would be truly honored to support you through your pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum journey.
If you have any questions or would like to book a consult, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to connect with you!

Wanda Cox- Graceful Beginnings Birth Services
Your birth and postpartum period is so important. How you navigate through it can have such a great impact on you, and your family. You deserve to be; listened to, centered in decision making, and supported both emotionally and physically in a way that makes sense to YOU. While birth can be unpredictable, the presence of this care should be consistent. I’d love to help you with that! A little about me: I’ve been a doula since 1999. While the families I serve remain my greatest source of learning, I’m always exploring new ways to serve my clients. In addition to being a Certified Birth and Postpartum doula, I teach high-quality Evidence Based Birth® childbirth classes, I am a Certified Lactation Educator (CAPPA), Certified Infant Massage Instructor (IAIM) and a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Instructor (LCCE). I also train Birth Doulas and train Infant Massage Instructors as well! Explore my website for more information on my offerings. I’m looking forward to exploring how we might work together!
